Big Updates (again) for v1.3!


New Weapons System! -v1.3

Yep, I've finally gotten round to do it.

With this update comes:

  • A new modular weapons system 
    • Support for weapons to:
      • fire multiple shots at once
      • fire multiple times per shot (burst)
      • different types of projectiles with their own mechanics and behaviors
    • New default weapons:
      • Small cannon
      • Shotgun
      • Small raygun
      • ...
    • Projectile system:
      • for now, added bullets, lasers, and explosives, but will look into combining them
  • With it, 7 (technically 6) new weapons to try out!


Coming up:

Also, gonna add some '?'s to indicate the (un)likelihood of implementation

  • New projectiles:
    • rockets
    • seekers(??)
  • Smarter AI (well... "smart" AI)
  • Reconsider pace of the game(?)
  • Weapons System could possibly become procedural(??)
    • Bosses drop weapons(???)
    • Chests that drop random weapons(???)
  • New environments & maps(??)
